Caffeine and Octane August Show is Sunday August 4, 2013 at 7AM

It's that time again. Caffeine and Octane! I hope the weather cooperates but it's not looking good. If it is raining the turnout will be very light. Anyway, meet at Cracker Barrel for breakfast at 6AM and roll to the show at 7AM.

Caffeine and Octane is this Sunday October 7 at 7AM.  The three clubs will be meeting at Cracker Barrel at 6AM for breakfast and then rolling over to the show.  Parking at the show is limited and fills up very quickly so please get there early if you don't plan to caravan or have breakfast.   If you don't know how to get to Caffeine and Octane please email me for directions at atlbimmers@yahoo.com

The Aventador was king at Sunday's C&O.   It got the most attention all morning long.  The place got packed out by 9AM and the entire two parking lots were completely full.  The show is getting bigger and bigger and seems to be outgrowing it's location once again.  The BMW crews had about 30 cars representing today.  Here are the photos from the show, you can click on the photo or the link below.:

Caffeine and Octane is this weekend at 7Am Sunday Sept 2, 2012! Pre-meet at Cracker Barrel at 6AM

Don't miss Caffeine and Octane this weekend.  If the weather holds up it should be a big one.  Last month was the largest turnout ever.   A-Town M Club and ATLBIMMERS will be hosting a pre-meet at Cracker Barrel on Windward pkwy at 6AM for you early birds.  We will then head over to the show at 6:30AM.    After Caffeine and Octane there is a battle of the car clubs in Kennessaw in the Hooters parking lot at 11AM.  Come out this holiday weekend and have some fun!

Hello everyone,

For those that made it to Caffeine and Octane you know it was a great one.  The weather was very nice and it brought out the best of the best.  I think this was one of the largest turnouts this summer.  There were a lot of nice classics and a lot of exotics.  The BMW Crew and the Nissan/Infiniti crew both had large turnouts.  I would advise you not to miss it next time as it continues to get better and better.  Anyway, here are the photos.

Caffeine and Octane Update - Breakfast or Caravan

 

For those that want to eat breakfast lets just do Waffle House like we always do at 6:30AM and we go to the show at 7AM sharp or if you want to meet at Waffle House get there by 7AM.

For those that do not want to eat and want to caravan from Vinings/Smyrna meet with Greg at Buckhead Imports at 6:30 and ride from there and they are leaving at 6:45-7AM

Remember guys people are arriving earlier and earlier to the show so try to get there early.

Something about sunshine that brings out the baddest rides!   This was the first great weather Caffeine and Octane of the year and it was a great one.  Not only did this Lexus LFA come out, but there was also a Lamborghini Aventador in attendance.  The parking lot was packed by 8:30AM and parking was tough to come by.  We met the A-Town M Club at Waffle House prior to going to the show and we ran into the M-Atlanta group at the show.   Anyway, enough talk, here are the photos!

Well guys, we had another successful C&O and at this one, BMW had a huge turnout.  There were a lot of e46 M3's thanks to the A-TOWN M CLUB.  If you have an E46 M3 or any M3 and are interested in joining, they have a Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/195659353845063/   The group is a closed group so you have to request to be a member.  My buddy Sam of Mahdavi Motorosports brought out his beast, the BMW 850i.  Also if you have an e31 8-series what better mechanic to work on it than one that owns one himself.   Contact him if you need work done to your 8-series or any other BMW. Also shout out to J for bringing that Super Clean E39 M5 of his(pictured above).  He says it's the first time it has seen wet pavement in quite a while.

  The usual clubs were there, such as the Corvette crew, the Infiniti and Nissan crew, the Camaro crew, the Porsche crew and the Mini Cooper crew.   It drizzled somewhat but for the most part the turnout was really good.  The parking lot was completely packed by 9:30AM and everyone was enjoying themselves.  I know I'm a BMW guy but my favorite of the day was the De Tomaso Pantera.  I used to love those cars.  They are like a poor man's Lamborghini with a Cleveland V8 engine.  Guys don't forget that M-Atlanta is hosting a meet and greet this Saturday at Buckhead Imports in Smyrna starting at 10AM.

Caffeine and Octane on Super Bowl Sunday Feb 5 - 7AM Windward Pkwy next to Mambo Jumbo

Well guys and gals, this weekend will be a great one.  Caffeine and Octane is back and it should be huge.  The Super Bowl is this Sunday also, so turnout should be quite large.  The show on the Jan 1 was somewhat small because everybody was hungover and partied the night before.  Don't miss this Sunday's show!  I will be taking pictures as usual and will post them on Flickr.

What a way to start the New Year!   The turnout for Caffeine and Octane was relatively low but there were still some great cars that showed up.  The show stealer to me was the Shelby Daytona Coupe Replica.  As far as I know there are only 2 in GA.  The Porsche Carrerra GT drew a large crowd as well as a Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible.  The BMW M3 crew was in the house representing with three E46 convertibles.  So anyway here are the photos.  ENJOY!

Caffeine and Octane is Sunday January 1st 2012 7AM - 11AM

Hey guys and gals.  Caffeine and Octane is here again, and it is Sunday January 1st, 2012.  This one is going to be interesting because plenty of people will be partying the night before. So I'm wondering how the turnout will be.   But I think it should still be pretty good.  I don't think I'm going to party. My wife and I are going to do something simple.  So I should be there.  It will be at the same location as last month, Its off of Windward Parkway west of 400. We’ve got access to 2 lots. One in front of an office building, and the other around a group of restaurants. One of those eateries, Mambo Jambo will be open for breakfast.

Caffeine and Octane Dec 4. Revenge of the Aventador!

If you missed Caffeine and Octane you missed a treat.  It seems like I say this every month LOL!  Well this month the show was in a new location off of Windward Parkway which was about 2 exits up from the old location.  The new location was very nice and had a restaurant called Mambo Jambo Cafe that had a all you can eat breakfast buffet which was actually pretty good.  There were bathrooms available thanks to the restaurant and plenty of parking spaces.  The new location brought out some old faces.  The Ford Club came out with their Cobras, Eleanor(67 Mustang) and Ford GT 40's.  But the new face that arrived was the Lamborghini Aventador.   It was beautiful! This is the model that replaced the Murcielago.  Anyway It was quite impressive. Also the Fisker Karma came out once again and it was a crowd pleaser, but the Aventador was the show stealer.  It had a crowd around it the whole show.

Caffeine and Octane Location Change Announcement for December 4 Show

Announcement from Caffeine and Octane below:

Big Change - December Show Location OK folks it's finally official. We've got a new (hopefully long term) home. Its off of Windward Parkway west of 400. We've got access to 2 lots. One in front of an office building, and the other around a group of restaurants. One of those eateries, Mambo Jambo will be open for breakfast.

Please see the attached map. Time will be the same as always, 8am until 11am.
I'd like to thank Chip Gonzales and Benjamin Burris for offering us these locations. Also special thanks to our sponsors, and in particular Classic Collectors Insurance as I needed to obtain event insurance for this location.

This location gets us back a bit closer to most of our participants and gives us an indoor eating option with the weather getting a bit cooler.

UPDATED Caffiene and Octane from Sunday Nov 6, 2011

I almost didn't go to Caffiene and Octane this Sunday because I was tired from the night before, but that extra hour of sleep from the time change helped and I am so glad I went.  I was with my buddy B. and we both got the shock of our eyes when we saw that Lexus LFA pull up.  It was the show stealer of the day........at first.  This particular row of vehicles had the Lamborghini Murcielago, the Mercedes SLR,  a Dodge Viper, a Nissan GTR and the Lexus LFA.  The sound from the LFA was sweet.  It was much different than the Lamborghini but still sounded so good.  But the surprise of the day was the Fiska Karma that pulled up.  The Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid that has an Gasoline generator that charges the batteries.  It was so beautiful.  It still looks so much like a concept car.  I also got a chance to meet several tuners.  The guys from Forged Performance were the guys that brought the LFA in.  They were really cool and told us all about that particular LFA.  I also met Sam Mahdavi who runs Mahdavi Motorsports.  He brought out a sweet BMW 850I.  I told him I want one myself and he's talking me out of the 840I and instead going for the 850I. I'm scared of the 850(maintenance wise) but I'm still considering it.   You guys missed it.  You better get up early and come out next time!  You never know what might show up.  I decided to add my phone camera pics until the Facebook pics get posted.  I only took a few shots but there are more shots below by Robert Downie on Facebook.

It is that time again ladies and gentleman.  Caffiene and Octane, the best car show in Atlanta is back.  It is this Sunday at 7AM at Northview High School.  This Sunday will be interesting because it coincides with Petit Lemans.  So several enthusiast that normally come out may not be in attendance but the show should still do well, so come on out, behave yourselves and enjoy.

Caffeine and Octane Photos Sept 4

As I stated before Caffeine and Octane was great!  I brought my dad out with me who is in his early 70's and he was able to see some of the older classics of his era.  I didn't tell him where we were going, I just told him to be ready at 6:30AM and I was coming to get him in the Bimmer.  He takes care of my mom who is very ill, so I wanted to do something special for him.  He said that he had a blast and really thoroughly enjoyed himself.    For those of you that have Facebook I'm going to link you to a guy's album that has photos of just about every car that pulled into the show as well.  **The Gullwing Mercedes pictured above stole the show, along with a old school Bentley!***

As for Caffeine and Octane, it was fantastic as usual.  Lots of nice cars and a lot more people than last month.  The main parking lot at Northview High was full.   I had great day except for the fact that I dropped my camera and it won't take pictures anymore.   I will upload the pics from C&O in a day or so.  I hate that I have to buy a new camera. :(
