MFest Atlanta Meet and Greet

Unfortunately I didn't get to take a lot of photos for the event.  Considering the fact that it was raining like crazy, the turnout was pretty good.  It looked like all of the BMW crews came out and it was great seeing everyone.  Yours truly won a full day of M-School at the BMW Plant in Spartanburg, SC courtesy of United BMW of Roswell.  Thanks to Justin Hoisington - General Manager and Billey Futey - M Sales Specialist for making this happen.  Thanks to Mountain Motorsports for hosting us and to our Sponsor Solomotorsports for coming out as well as thanks to all the participating vendors.   Special thanks to Jonathan Balcos the CFO of MFest for the South Region for putting this all together.

Bahama Breeze Meet - Sunday July 13, 12 noon - 4PM

Folks come on out to Bahama Breeze on Sunday July 13th and hangout with ATLBIMMERS, GABIMMERS, A-Town M Club, M-Atlanta and the Peachtree Chapter of BMW CCA.  We are all coming together just to talk cars, have some drinks and enjoy the beautiful day.   Please come on out. Eating and/or drinking is not required.  If you want to come and just hang out feel free to do so.  We will be at the Bahama Breeze in Duluth at 3590 Breckinridge Blvd.

BAD NEWS GUYS

   The ATLBIMMERS shirts will have to be redesigned.  Our T-Shirt company Zazzle cancelled our orders due to possible copyright issues.  So its back to the drawing board.  More than likely we will keep the logo as it is but take away the BMW elements.

Caffeine and Octane August Show is Sunday August 4, 2013 at 7AM

It's that time again. Caffeine and Octane! I hope the weather cooperates but it's not looking good. If it is raining the turnout will be very light. Anyway, meet at Cracker Barrel for breakfast at 6AM and roll to the show at 7AM.

BMW CLUBS Atlanta Motorsports Park Tour March 16, 2013 11AM

For those of you that missed it last year it is back!  AMP has been gracious enough to invite all the BMW Clubs out to tour Atlanta Motorsports Park.    Lunch will be provided by our sponsor Solo Motorsports.  We will tour the facility and we may also have a club challenge on the kart track!.  We did it last year and it was a blast!

In order to attend you must  RSVP to bruce@100mphlunch.com by March 12th with your full name and vehicle year, make and model.    If anyone has interest in doing hotlaps with an AMP member, please bring a SA2005 or newer helmet. Helmets are available for rental as well. *****Hot laps may be offered to non members for a small fee but it depends on how many AMP members are on the track that day. Bring a helmet and $$$$ or credit just in case!******

Swap Meet 2013 - Saturday Feb. 16, 2013 Old Heidelberg Helen GA

 "Swap Meet 2013". This is an A-Town M Club sponsored event and will be in Helen Ga and this is a meet where members will be paired up in cars for a short ride in another M car. 

Afterwards we can get a bite and share experiences. This weekend is proposed "off" C&O to allow more partners to attend who don't get up at 5:00AM. :). For planning purposes, lets meet between 10:00 and 10:30 at the parking lot behind/below Main Street, opposite the Old Heidelberg. Say 2 hours for driving, then lunch at 12:30, then explore Helen/depart on own time.   Check out A-Town M Club on Facebook for additional information.

United BMW Roswell's - An Evening with BMW Motorsport - Tuesday Oct 16, 2012

United BMW Roswell invites you to spend an evening with BMW Team RLL and other special guests on October 16th starting at 6pm.
Prior to the Petit Le Mans 10 hour race at Road Atlanta, the BMW Motorsport team will be on hand to answer your questions and sign autographs.
Join us on this special evening for raffles, an auction benefiting teen driving, and refreshments!
DRIVERS
The drivers will be on hand to sign autographs and answer questions.
At this time the driver line up for the two BMW M3's racing in the the Petit Le Mans race has not been announced. When the line up has been confirmed we'll provide an update.

Caffeine and Octane is this weekend at 7Am Sunday Sept 2, 2012! Pre-meet at Cracker Barrel at 6AM

Don't miss Caffeine and Octane this weekend.  If the weather holds up it should be a big one.  Last month was the largest turnout ever.   A-Town M Club and ATLBIMMERS will be hosting a pre-meet at Cracker Barrel on Windward pkwy at 6AM for you early birds.  We will then head over to the show at 6:30AM.    After Caffeine and Octane there is a battle of the car clubs in Kennessaw in the Hooters parking lot at 11AM.  Come out this holiday weekend and have some fun!

Carolina //M Fest 2012 Saturday Sept 8, 2012

The Carolina //M Fest will be Saturday September 8, in Lewisville NC at the Westbend Vineyards and Brewhouse.  There may be a group going up there but I don't have any information on that as of yet.  If there is a group departing from Atlanta I will let you know.  It should be a great event as most //M-Fest normally are.  I will get in touch with the groups here in Atlanta to see who may be participating.  Are any shops in Atlanta planning to caravan to M-Fest?  If so please reach out to me so I can post the information.

ATLBIMMERS Monthly Meet and Cruise-In from the Varsity to Dantanna's - Sunday March 25 3:30PM

Aight guys and gals,

Third time is a charm, hopefully.   We will meet at Dantanna's  in the Shops at Lenox. For those that would like to stay and eat there will be several NBA games on around 6-7PM
 Keep in mind that if it is raining there will be low turnout.  I tried to check the forecast and it looks like its only going to rain on Friday and Saturday.  So maybe we will be in luck.

We will do a cruise-in from the Varsity.  We will meet at the Varsity between 3:30 and 4PM.  The meet at Dantanna's will be at 5PM.  If you plan on going to Dantanna's park in the Shops at Lenox(Do not go to the mall or you will be booted!)

HUGE NEWS!!!!!!   The group has been invited to Atlanta Motorsports Park for a tour and afterward an Open House at R&I Motorsports in Roswell.  The date is Saturday February 25 at 9:30AM.    This is a rain or shine event.    We plan to meet at the North Georgia Premium Outlets in front of the Polo store around 8:30AM Saturday morning before we roll over to the facility.  Don't miss this chance to see a great facility and attend an open house.  The A-Town M Club and M-Atlanta will all be in attendance.   After the facility tour, we will roll over to R&I Motorsports in Roswell and meet up with the owner John.  He will have a little food and drinks for everyone.   Please email me if you plan to attend and also you MUST RSVP with Bruce at AMP and mention ATLBIMMERS and include your name, car year, make and model.  His email is  bruce@100mphlunch.com

M-ATLANTA Is having their meet and greet on Saturday Feb 11, 2012 at Buckhead Imports in Smyrna from 10AM-2PM.  The address is  1500 Cumberland Parkway Southeast  Smyrna, GA 30080-6459. Get to know the M-ATLANTA club members as well as meet the staff at Buckhead Imports and learn all about what Buckhead Imports has to offer.  M-ATLANTA members consist primarily of e39 and e60 M5's and e63 M6's.  So come out, network and have some fun.

Atlbimmers Monthly Meet and Cruise-in - Sunday January 22, 2011

Aight guys,

The next meet will be on Sunday Jan 22, 2012 as requested.  We will meet at Slack's in the new Town Brookhaven.  I figure I'd try a different spot although Dantana's did work out really well.   Town Brookhaven is off of Peachtree St. 

The address is b1250, 305 Brookhaven Avenue  Atlanta, GA 30319.

When you turn into Town Brookhaven, go past Publix and go into the round about and turn right behind the apartments. Slacks is located toward the end of the plaza across from Costco.   It's sort of in the cut so look for it. 

We will do a cruise-in from the Varsity.  We will meet at the Varsity between 3:30 and 4PM.  The meet at Slacks will be at 5PM.

ATLBIMMERS END OF THE YEAR MONTHLY MEET WAS GREAT!

 


This was the last monthly meet of the year and it was a great one.  Lots of new faces came out. Thanks a bunch to JSCO from E90Post for coming out and repping South Carolina to the fullest. Also thanks to the M-Atlanta crew from the M5Board for bringing out all of those M5's. Thanks to Dorian and his crew for bringing out all those M3's and M5's.  Thanks to my buddy bhbfalcons from M3Post for scouting out the location before we got there. The M's were really representing today. We had guys and gals from Bimmerforums and a couple of the Butler Tire guys came through and represented as well.  This was a very good effort to merging all of the many groups in Atlanta and it was great networking.  Thanks also to Dantanas for taking care of us for dinner and to the security guy at The Shops at Lenox for making sure we don't get booted :)      The cruise-in was a lot of fun pushing it on GA 400 for those few miles. I tried to floor it but the M's were right on my tail. My poor lil 328 was screaming and the M's were just purring along. I will post all of my pics on http://atlbimmers.blogspot.com via flicker in a couple of days.  Also sorry for all the confusion about the location, but Dantanas worked out very well.

Because there MAY BE holiday traffic concerns.  I am coming up with a backup location JUST IN CASE Dantana's doesn't work out.  Slacks is the back-up location.  Slacks located in The Town Brookhaven plaza.  Their address is  305 Brookhaven Avenue  Atlanta, GA 30319. They are sort of in the cut behind the apartments on the right side but in front of Costco. I think this is a decent spot because there is plenty of parking and it's away from the madness of Lenox.  So if we can't do Dantana's then we will do Slack's.  The cruise-in is STILL IN PLACE at the VARSITY between 3:30-4:00pm.

Hey Guys and Gals,

You heard it right, a cruise-in!   Since we have a special guest coming we were asked about adding a little "cruise" to our meet for this month.  So I've decided that we will meet at the Varsity between 3:30 and 4PM and we will leave at 4:15 sharp!    We will then cruise to Dantana's.  The route will start going up West Peachtree to Peachtree and then we will hit I-85 at Brookwood North to Sidney Marcus and then hit all out for the mile sprint on GA400 to Lenox.  This should be fun.   For those of you that do not want to cruise, just meet at the Shops at Lenox parking lot around 5PM.  See you there!

It is the last meet of 2011 and it should be a good one.   The crew will meet back in Buckhead where we all started.  We will be meeting at Dantana's Buckhead.  We will park at the The SHOPS AT LENOX parking lot.(******VERY IMPORTANT***** IF  YOU PARK AT THE SHOPS AT LENOX DO NOT GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN DANTANA'S OR THE SHOPS.  DO NOT WALK OVER TO LENOX MALL, THEY WILL BOOT YOUR CAR!)   Parking is not a problem as long as we go to Dantanas.  The M-Atlanta crew which consist of M5'S AND M6'S should be in the house for this one, so don't miss it. They will be there to discuss a track day that they are doing at Talladega at the end of the month.  The usual crew should be on hand as well.  Anyone is invited as before mods or not.  See you there!
