Hello all,

Unfortunately Fatherhood and work has been keeping me away from the site.   I haven't done any updates in a long time.   However I wanted to let you know that we have meets every 3rd Saturday of the month at Starts and Strikes in Roswell GA.  We meet with the Mitsubishi EVOs and the Suburu crew as well.

Here is the address:

8767 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30350    Start time is normally around 7:00 -8:00PM

We will be having a meet this  Saturday April 21 at 7:30PM.  Please come out and enjoy each others cars.

The Last meet we had 50+ cars.  We think we can have more this time.  This will probably be our last meet of the year.

ATLBIMMERS OCTOBER MEET WAS THE BIGGEST THIS YEAR!

If you missed the ATLBIMMERS Meet from Saturday October 24, 2015 you missed a good one.  We had representation from all of the Metro Area BMW groups(Bmw CCA, M-Atlanta, Bimmernation, A-Town M Club and ATLBIMMERS.)    We all came together for a great meet.   We met at Von Maur at Perimeter Mall.  Close to 50 cars came out.  We also had cars from Evolution Atlanta(Mitsubishi EVO), the Suburu crew and Mercedes of Atlanta.   Make sure you don't miss the next one!

MFest Atlanta Meet and Greet

Unfortunately I didn't get to take a lot of photos for the event.  Considering the fact that it was raining like crazy, the turnout was pretty good.  It looked like all of the BMW crews came out and it was great seeing everyone.  Yours truly won a full day of M-School at the BMW Plant in Spartanburg, SC courtesy of United BMW of Roswell.  Thanks to Justin Hoisington - General Manager and Billey Futey - M Sales Specialist for making this happen.  Thanks to Mountain Motorsports for hosting us and to our Sponsor Solomotorsports for coming out as well as thanks to all the participating vendors.   Special thanks to Jonathan Balcos the CFO of MFest for the South Region for putting this all together.

MFEST ATLANTA at Mountain Motorsports in Conyers March 22. 2015 at 10AM

There will be several groups coming from different parts of the city. If we all want to park together for MFest then we need to arrive together. A group leaving from United BMW Gwinnett will be meeting us at Perimeter Mall at 9:00am. Departure is 9:30am sharp! Our 10 Cars representing the ATLBIMMERS group will be lined up as well. We will be rolling with M-Atlanta. They will take the lead on the way since this is there original caravan.

MFest Pre Meet Coding Session - Bimmer Service Center Roswell Sunday 3-21-15

Finally, MFest is coming to Atlanta! CodeMyCar will be one of the official sponsors and they have offered us discounted pricing to show their support. Bahama Breeze Meet - Sunday July 13, 12 noon - 4PM

Folks come on out to Bahama Breeze on Sunday July 13th and hangout with ATLBIMMERS, GABIMMERS, A-Town M Club, M-Atlanta and the Peachtree Chapter of BMW CCA.  We are all coming together just to talk cars, have some drinks and enjoy the beautiful day.   Please come on out. Eating and/or drinking is not required.  If you want to come and just hang out feel free to do so.  We will be at the Bahama Breeze in Duluth at 3590 Breckinridge Blvd.

ATLBIMMERS UPDATES

Updates

Just a few quick updates.  I'm sorry about the lack of post in the past few months.  I'm going to try to do better about this.   Meet season has started and we had another meet at Gordon Biersch in Buckhead.  We did a quick cruise afterward and it was a lot of fun.  Turnout was kind of small but it worked out ok.   It was on a beautiful Sunday and we got all the events in just before it rained.  As you all know Facebook has been where most of the members are.  We have two pages.  A closed group and a community page.  I'm actually thinking about taking the group to a secret status.   I feel like the group has grown too large and we have lost the closeness we once had when we started.  I realize that a lot of members no longer own BMW's but we do have some new blood that have come in. We just need more enthusiasm.   Some of the newer members bring different dynamics to the group some good, some bad, some in between.  Things have been rocky at times with this new growth but we are going to right the ship. 

Now that I got that out of the way here are the updates:

Meets:

The Varsity is going strong every Tuesday at 8PM as long as the weather holds up.

There is a monthly meet at the Consignment Shed on Thursday May 15th at 7:30PM.  All ATLBIMMERS members have been invited.  Should be a decent turnout.

Stickers:

Stickers are here. No waiting around, no pre-orders, they are ready to go. They measure 8"x1.25".

Solomotorsports Grand Reopening

Bimmers Beer and Football Meet Photos

Hey everyone. Sorry about the delay.  I have been super busy this year with my new job and I just haven't had a ton of time to post stuff.  But I'm back and trying to update you on the latest events.  So I'm going to keep this sweet and simple.  Here are the pics from the Bimmers, Beer and Football meet at Gordon Biersch in Buckhead.  It was a pretty decent turnout and we had a ton of fun on the cruise we did.  We cruised from through Buckhead to I-75 to I-285 back to GA400 and back to Gordon Biersch.   It was a lot of fun.  Don't miss the next one!

ATLBIMMERS MEET BIMMERS, BEERS and FOOTBALL

Hey everyone. I know you guys and gals have been itching for an official ATLBIMMERS meet. Well here it is. I've also invited A-Town M Club and M-Atlanta to attend.

We will meet at Gordon Biersch in Buckhead - 3242 Peachtree Rd. Atlanta, GA

*PLEASE READ DETAILS THOROUGHLY*

Park in the Pier 1 Imports parking lot on the back row.

We will meet at 3PM and then do a cruise at around 3:45-4PM.

Then sit down for food and football at 5 so we can catch the end of the NE-DEN game and then the SEA-SF game.

*Eating is not required*  Feel free to leave after the meet or the cruise

I will have 5 free ATLBIMMERS stickers to giveaway and I will have some to sell at $3 bucks each.

2014 UPDATE

Hey Guys and Gals,

         I just wanted to give a statement for the group.  The new year is here and this will be the 3rd year the club has existed.  We have gone through a lot of ups and downs lately and 2013 was a strange year but a growing year for the group.  I'm hoping that 2014 brings positive changes and better things.  As you know this is the cold season and we normally don't have a lot of meets around this time.  However a lot of the Facebook members have been antsy about not meeting as of late so I will try to have a meet within the next coming weeks.  Also there is a new Forum called GABimmers aka BMWofnorthga that has just started recently.   Scott Eisner is running this forum and he will be hosting meets as well.  He has a meet coming up on the 25th of this month. The details will be posted in day or two and in the event section.

          Facebook has been a double edged sword.  It has allowed the group to grow but it has also presented unforeseen challenges that we are working through.  We currently have 755 members although some are a mix of M-Atlanta and A-Town M Club and we have lost a lot of members due to the negative effects of the Facebook growth. Also a couple of additional clubs have popped up from the negative growth.  I personally look at it as a good thing because it allows everyone to have a place and it gives us a larger infrastructure for the BMW clubs overall.

        This year I'd like to gain more sponsors and try to come up with more creative ideas for us to do.  Being that we are a free club there isn't much that I can offer considering that we don't have a club budget, however I will work with the board and my current sponsors to try to figure out new things for the group.

        If anyone is interested in stickers I have about 12-15 left and our sticker guy Jesus Leon has some left as well.  Feel free to contact me at atlbimmers@yahoo.com for his contact information. You can also contact me for stickers and they are $3 each.

        I would also like to thank our board members and admins for helping to keep things under control on Facebook as well as helping me make tough decisions.  The Board Members are Nivedh Manohar, Brian Berman, Will Shabura and Myself.  The Facebook admins are Alex Funari, Emily Danger Fest, Doug Bryant, Will Shabura and Myself.

   The ATLBIMMERS shirts will have to be redesigned.  Our T-Shirt company Zazzle cancelled our orders due to possible copyright issues.  So its back to the drawing board.  More than likely we will keep the logo as it is but take away the BMW elements.

We Hungry Meet - Sunday August 25 at the Marietta Billiards in Marietta, GA 1PM

Guys and Gals, I'm thinking about having us come out to the We Hungry Meet and represent the club this Sunday August 25, at 1PM.    I have put an evite on Facebook for the event and I've sent out emails to everyone.    It should be fun and we should have a pretty good turnout.  Check Facebook for possible pre-meet locations and caravan information and I will try to post it here if anything changes.
