TODAYS MEET CANCELED

Rain kills a meet as you guys know. It looks like we will still have pockets of rain right around 3PM over most of North Atlanta which is where mostly everyone lives. So the meet will be canceled.  I hate to sound like broken record by doing this again but most of the guys hate driving their cars in the rain.   


I would suggest that if it truly clears up I may send out an email for an impromptu gathering if you guys really want to meet up.  Maybe somewhere like the Varsity.   Get on the distribution list by emailing your name and car model to atlbimmers@yahoo.com.

Atlbimmers Monthly Meet and Cruise-in - Sunday February 19. 2012 starts at 3:30PM at the Varsity.

Aight guys and gals,

We will try to do this again this Sunday Feb 19, 2012.   We will meet at Slack's in the new Town Brookhaven.  I will be sort of celebrating my birthday(which is Saturday) but nothing big planned.  Consider it more of another normal meet.

The address is b1250, 305 Brookhaven Avenue  Atlanta, GA 30319.

When you turn into Town Brookhaven, go past Publix and go into the round about and turn right behind the apartments. Slacks is located toward the end of the plaza across from Costco and next to LA Fitness.   It's sort of in the cut so look for it.  We will try to park by the fence across from Slacks.

We will do a cruise-in from the Varsity.  We will meet at the Varsity between 3:30 and 4PM.  The meet at Slacks will be at 5PM.

A cruise to enjoy the crisp morning while tempting to disturb the early morning calmness with blip of the throttle. Then let it rip as we dry the morning dew off with "Speed & Mischief" on deserted Roads.

***UPDATE*** CAFFEINE AND OCTANE PHOTOS

                  

Well guys, we had another successful C&O and at this one, BMW had a huge turnout.  There were a lot of e46 M3's thanks to the A-TOWN M CLUB.  If you have an E46 M3 or any M3 and are interested in joining, they have a Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/195659353845063/   The group is a closed group so you have to request to be a member.  My buddy Sam of Mahdavi Motorosports brought out his beast, the BMW 850i.  Also if you have an e31 8-series what better mechanic to work on it than one that owns one himself.   Contact him if you need work done to your 8-series or any other BMW. Also shout out to J for bringing that Super Clean E39 M5 of his(pictured above).  He says it's the first time it has seen wet pavement in quite a while.

  The usual clubs were there, such as the Corvette crew, the Infiniti and Nissan crew, the Camaro crew, the Porsche crew and the Mini Cooper crew.   It drizzled somewhat but for the most part the turnout was really good.  The parking lot was completely packed by 9:30AM and everyone was enjoying themselves.  I know I'm a BMW guy but my favorite of the day was the De Tomaso Pantera.  I used to love those cars.  They are like a poor man's Lamborghini with a Cleveland V8 engine.  Guys don't forget that M-Atlanta is hosting a meet and greet this Saturday at Buckhead Imports in Smyrna starting at 10AM.

Caffeine and Octane on Super Bowl Sunday Feb 5 - 7AM Windward Pkwy next to Mambo Jumbo

Well guys and gals, this weekend will be a great one.  Caffeine and Octane is back and it should be huge.  The Super Bowl is this Sunday also, so turnout should be quite large.  The show on the Jan 1 was somewhat small because everybody was hungover and partied the night before.  Don't miss this Sunday's show!  I will be taking pictures as usual and will post them on Flickr.
